BLACKPINK Music Video For New Song “Ready For Love” To Release This Week

K-Pop group Blackpink will release their latest music video “Ready For Love”, this week. The new song is made in collaboration with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile. Consequently, the music video for “Ready For Love” will release on July 29 at 12 a.m. EDT (1 p.m. KST). 


The Virtual concert

Blackpink recently released a teaser during the in-game concert “The Virtual” the past weekend. Blackpink teams up with PUBG Mobile to conduct a virtual concert. Subsequently, things only keep getting better for BLINKS because special items are held in store for them.

Over nine million tickets were bought for their The Virtual event. It featured the band performing some of their biggest hits in the shape of their avatars.

Blackpink’s comeback with Ready For Love

One of the fans wrote, “I can’t believe after 2 years or a year I’m going to hear Blackpink ready for love song is this a dream?”. Other Blinks declared the song a ‘smash hit’ already.

The group is all set to make its comeback this August. Jisoo appeared in the contentious series Snowdrop. Jennie will feature in HBO’s The Idol. The members have been keeping busy. Lisa and Rose have been very busy promoting brands.


YG Entertainment in a statement made in July said that the group, consisting of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, was in the “final stages of creating a new album”. Along with Blackpink’s new song release in August “a continuous large-scale project will run into the second half of the year,” according to the statement.

More about Ready To Love

The management company for the group, YG Entertainment, claimed that Ready to Love is authentic to the Blackpink style. The style fans have come to know and love over the years. The song immediately captures your senses. Alongside, its pop burst with a quick tempo drop was further highlighted by the game’s graphics. It quickly became a BLINKS favorite. As the song’s words promote perseverance in the search for love.

As part of the campaign, BLINKs can participate in a fun online concert hosted by the four members’ online avatars. The first of four of which took place on July 23.

Ready For Love

The virtual concert is accessible only via PUBG Mobile. From July 22–23 and July 29–30 in North and South America. And July 23–24 and July 30-31 in all other locations.


“To expand BLACKPINK’s emotional connection with fans worldwide, they will set out for the largest-scale world tour in K-pop girl group history until the end of the year along with their comeback”. A representative from YG Entertainment stated.

Blackpink’s success

Blackpink made their debut in August 2016. With the release of their short album “Square One,” which included the songs “Whistle” and “Boombayah”. Their song “Ice Cream,” peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100. And, making them the highest-charting female Korean act.

The music video for their 2018 single “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” achieved 1.9 billion views on YouTube this week. Making it the most watched Korean group on the platform. Moreover, Members Rose and Lisa recorded separate albums in 2021 despite the group’s long period of low-key activity. Jisoo had her lead acting debut in the series “Snowdrop.”
