The Weeknd abruptly ended the Concert

The Weeknd had just 3 tracks during his concert at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. He had to call it a night after losing his voice, having performed for just 15 minutes.

In between his classic song “Can’t Feel My Face,” the 4 Grammy recipient unexpectedly put an end to singing and left the platform, on 4th September 2022.

When a song started, The Weeknd returned and abruptly ended the show at 9:30 pm. He informed the audience that he had lost his vocal ability.

When will be The Weeknd’s next concert?

Before leaving the stage, The Weeknd assured the crowd at SoFi Stadium that he would make things right.

As per the star singer’s website, The Weeknd will be singing live in Toronto on the 22nd of and 23rd of September.

There is still no confirmed news regarding the timings of the rescheduled performance.

What did The Weeknd say to the Fans?

The 70,000-seat venue was ringing with the chants of discontented spectators. “You’ll get your money back,” The Weeknd comforted the discontented fans. “But I’ll do a show real soon for you guys.”

The artist provided the audience one last minute of solace before departing the venue. “You know how much this kills me right now. I’m sorry. I love you so much.”

A round of applause broke out as he said this before making his dramatic exit.

He had delayed his tour the previous year in an attempt to appear in arenas across the nation.  It was the last performance of a consecutive concert in the SoFi stadium.

The Weeknd penned down on social media, a reiterated regret for leaving the event prematurely. “My voice went out during the first song and I’m devastated. Felt it go and my heart dropped. My deepest apologies to my fans here. I promise I’ll make it up to you with a new date.” He shared on Twitter.

The Weeknd’s approaching show?

Before he started, a trailer of his approaching show ‘The Idol’ got aired. The Weeknd and Euphoria helmer Sam Levinson are the makers of the show.

At 9 pm, Lily-Rose Depp walked onto the stage carrying the show’s concluding scene’s most important words while donning a white gown and a topknot.

 “I’ve had a tough year,” Depp said. “This world can be a cruel and unforgiving place and there were moments when I didn’t know if I was gonna make it.” After 9:15 pm, the voice mishap started.


The Weeknd (Tesfaye), Lily-Rose Depp, Troye Sivan, and BLACKPINK’s Jennie will all appear in the drama, which will air on HBO at the end of this year. January saw the launch of The Weeknd’s most recent album, ‘Dawn FM’.
