Stranger Things is undisputedly one of Netflix’s most popular and acclaimed original series. It is highlighted with big names like Squid Game, Bridgerton, and Money Heist

as the front runners of Netflix originals. The show has garnered a dedicated fanbase and launched its actors into the spotlight.

Netflix revealed that the show had broken viewing records for its platform. 40.7 million households had watched the show in its first four days, and 18.2 million already watched the entire series within that timeframe. Within its first month, the third season held a viewership record of 64 million households watching. This set a new record for the most-watched original Netflix series. Currently, it holds the record for being the 4th most streamed Netflix original of all time. Additionally, the series is also the most followed TV show on social media app TV Time’s history. It has over 5 million followers.

Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2 Format

The new season of the show has two volumes, however, the format differs from the previous seasons. The Volume 2 episodes are 85 minutes long and the final episode is approximately 2 and half hours long. Shawn Levy, the show’s director, teased Volume 2’s potential and shared his excitement in a statement. He said, “I’ll just tell you, as great as volume 1 is, volume 2 is extraordinary”.

Fans’ Explosive Response

Unsurprisingly, the viewers’ response to this new season is no different. As per usual, the enthusiastic and dedicated fanbase immediately tried to access the newly released Stranger Things Season 4

Volume 2. However, to their utter surprise and disappointment, they had managed to crash the site. Too many viewers were simultaneously attempting to watch the show.

Viewers took to Twitter sharing hilarious memes of their despair at not being able to watch the show. Among memes were many fan theories, predictions, and rumors. Meanwhile, the Volume 2 teaser reveal showed Nancy, Steve, and Robin still in the Upside Down and Hopper staring at a potential new monster. With all of this built-up hype and excitement, fans can’t wait to devour the storyline and plot details. That is of course as soon as what can only be hoped is a temporary problem is fixed.
