Antonia Lofaso Age and Career Explored as She Will Host Food Network’s Beachside Brawl

With a new seaside-themed culinary competition hosted by celebrity chef Antonia Lofaso, Warner Bros. Discovery’s Food Network is rekindling the rivalry between chefs from the East Coast and those from the West Coast. A six-week competition to determine which coast can boast the most delicious summertime dishes, ranging from casual beach bites to elaborate, mega-yacht-worthy fine dining, will begin on June 19 on the Food Network and Discovery+. Beachside Brawl pits a team of professional chefs from the East Coast against a rival team of their counterparts from the West to determine which coast can boast the most delicious summertime dishes.


Who is Antonia Lofaso?

In New York City, Antonia received her education at the French Culinary Institute. While attending the institution, she also worked as a manager at the restaurant owned by Sean Combs called Justin. After that, she went on to work as a cook at the restaurants Spago and Foxtail in Los Angeles.

Antonia served as an apprentice to several renowned chefs to pick up their more complex cooking methods and understand the ins and outs of the world of professional cuisine. Due to the high calibre of her cooking, she was promoted to more responsible positions at Spago, which Wolfgang Puck owns, quite rapidly. After that, she went on to work at various upscale restaurants, during which time she served many well-known celebrities.

The chef is presently the co-owner of three restaurants in Los Angeles. Including Black Market Liquor Bar, DAMA, and Scopa Italian Roots, and serves as executive chef at all three establishments.

The restaurant “Black Market Liquor Bar” was established in Studio City in 2011 by the chef in collaboration with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi. In addition, she launched Scopa Italian Roots in 2013, drawing inspiration from both her Italian and American ancestry. In 2012, Lofaso had an appearance on the Game Program Network show Beat the Chefs. Which was only on the air for a limited time. On the show, she was one of three professional chefs that the amateur chef competitors had to battle against. The program consisted of a total of four episodes.

On the Food Network competition program “Cutthroat Kitchen,” which aired from 2013 through 2017 and featured a rotating panel of judges, she was one of those judges.
