After landing at Los Angeles International Airport, Erika Jayne was met with two bundles of documents. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star had just returned from a lavish vacation in Miami. The paperwork contained a $50 million racketeering complaint, according to Page Six.
In the videotape acquired by Page Six, the woman delivering the documents to Erika said:
“I just wanted to give you these documents. This is a summons and complaint to serve you.”
Who is Erika Jayne?
Erika Chahoy was born as Erika Jayne. She is most recognized for her roles in Lowball (1996), Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens (2016), and Bravo’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (2015).
Since January 7, 2000, she has been married to Thomas A. Girardi. Previously, she was married to Thomas Zizzo.
What exactly has Erika gotten herself into?
The complaint was filed by Edelson PC, who claims Erika was aware of her ex-husband Tom Girardi’s claimed plans. As a result, the actor is facing nine accusations, including racketeering, conspiracy to commit racketeering, deception, and fraudulent commercial practice
According to the lawsuit, Page Six said: “Tom and Erika routinely misappropriated client settlement money to project an image of wealth and to prop up a lifestyle made for reality TV.”
Erika Jayne has yet to speak publicly about the documents she was given at LAX.
Erika had denied having any involvement with Tom
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of Erika’s involvement in the plot. Erika Jayne has previously claimed her innocence in public. The charges against Tom emerged during season 11 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. So, Erika addressed her marriage during the reunion special.
She stated to Andy Cohen:
“I’m at a point where I don’t quite know who I was married to, because there are good parts and there are bad parts, and I’m trying to just like everyone else around me, trying to figure out what the f*** happened in the law firm and in my personal life and the things that I’m finding out.”
This is also not Erika’s first time facing such a large lawsuit. In April 2022, she faced a $55 million racketeering case. She was accused of similar claims as the lawsuit in July 2022.
However, this was dismissed. Because Jay Edelson told Page Six that the claim was far more limited than it is now.
Divorce of Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi
Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi were married for 20 years before splitting up in 2020. She consistently defended Tom against their detractors, despite their 32-year age difference, as she noted in her book:
“I have a thirst for knowledge and Tom has a wealth of it. He is a great mentor, a great teacher, and somebody I really admire … That kind of stuff is a powerful aphrodisiac.”
After their public divorce, the issue surrounding Tom’s financial mismanagement erupted, and she was questioned about her involvement. Despite the turbulence, Erika revealed to US Weekly in May 2022 that she is still “mourning that marriage” and that “there are actually periods of pain.”
