What exactly happened with Lil Durk at Lollapalooza?

At the Chicago Lollapalooza festival in 2022, Lil Durk was playing “Back in Blood”. Suddenly, he was struck in the face by what appeared to be two onstage pyrotechnics (fireworks). A large explosion

occurs in front of Durk as he crosses the stage in the video. Followed by another cloud of smoke that strikes him in the face.

Lil Durk trips over himself and raises his T-shirt to cover his eyes. The Chicago rapper then looks to leave the stage, but he swiftly circles back and cries out, “Who wants smoke?” to the crowd. When Nardo Wick’s “Who Want Smoke?” starts playing, Durk is ready to deliver his verse from the song he made with Nardo.
