The family demands seclusion as they grieve the death and honor the singer’s legacy, as per Tamara. Jesse enjoyed singing, and his admirers were everything to him.

Although Tamara claimed that Jesse wasn’t in the hospital when he passed away, there is still no official word on what caused his passing. Nor is there any detail on any past medical conditions he may have had.

Tamara has officially verified his brother’s death news and paid a heartfelt tribute to him.

She declared that her elder brother, R&B star Jesse Powell, had kicked the bucket on late Tuesday. Tamara penned on Instagram, “It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, and uncle Jesse Powell.”

She goes on, “He passed away peacefully in his Los Angeles home. The family asks for privacy at this time as we mourn this tremendous loss and celebrate his everlasting legacy.”

Tamara ends, “Jesse loved music and he especially loved his fans who supported him throughout his career. We want you all to know that you meant the world to him. – The Powell Family.”

Tamara Powell Pays Heartfelt Tribute

Tamara paid a heartfelt tribute to Jesse after announcing the demise of her brother and referred to him as “one of the best R&B male vocalists out there.”

In an Instagram upload, she stated, “Aside from being one of the best R&B male vocalists out there, you were the best big brother ever. I loved you so much.”

With this post, she included a video of Jesse performing his timeless song “You.” This song was first aired in the year 1996. It was reissued two years later and was Jesse’s best track. In the end, “You” peaked at 10th position on the Billboard Hot 100 list.

Jesse was born in the year 1971 (12th September) in Indiana. His You got 2nd rank on the R&B chart and 10th rank on the Billboard Hot 100.

Powell was the brother of R&B singers Trina & Tamara and during the span of his singing profession, he created 4 studio albums.
