Lather alum shares a heartwarming photo on Instagram. John Stamos can be seen holding his 4-year-old son Billy on his first day of school. The Fuller House actor has found this milestone to be a tearjerker, so someone gets the tissues.
Billy accompanied John to the VIP screening of Disney Junior’s “Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends” at the Santa Monica Pier in California. This happened before the big day. Stamos performs the voice of Iron Man in the cartoon series, making him instantly the coolest father in the world.
John Stamos confesses attempting “not to cry”
When John Stamos, 59, said goodbye to his kid on his first day of school, he struggled “not to cry.” On the big day, Billy, who Stamos and Caitlin McHugh share, shared a photo on Instagram. In the picture, Billy is seen standing next to his father, who is getting ready for school while sitting on their front porch.

Billy’s mother uploaded a picture of herself and their dog Lilo in front of the same red door. She captioned the picture, “Today was Billy’s first day at a new school! Nervousness and excitement all around.”
Their dog has been suffering lymphoma, the actor previously said on her Instagram. Although McHugh wrote, “So glad Lilo is improving with her therapy,” she also provided a health update for the canine companion, “I appreciate the kind words, prayers, and energy of healing. It is beneficial.”
Glimpes at John Stamos family
After his 2005 divorce from Rebecca Romijn, Stamos discovered love once more with model and actress Caitlin McHugh. When both of them appeared as guests on a 2011 episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, they first got to know one another.
They announced their engagement in December 2017, and then the news of their first child’s impending arrival. John said that becoming a father is the best role he has ever had after Billy was born on April 10, 2018.
“I’m really glad to the gods, the cosmos, or whatever that I’m an older father,” the actor, who had his first child in his 50s, said. Stamos stated, “I couldn’t have handled it before. “I’ve always desired children. It’s a completely different situation from being a TV father, so I thought, I can’t wait to be a father.”
“It’s the biggest blessing of my life”, he continued. “It is difficult to do it properly, but I can’t image my life without him”, he remarked.
