The full report of the incident

According to the prosecutors, Johnny Deven attacked at least six people in three different incidents from last November. On Nov. 21, 2021, Johnny allegedly advanced toward a man and woman outside a Triangle Square bar. They were helping a friend off the ground. He started to verbally harass the woman and saying things like, “Wanting to see the wom an’s genitals” and “Wanting to have sexual relations with the woman”.

He sprinkled pepper spray on them and then escaped when her friend tried to help the woman. In an interview with KTLA, the woman noted, “I just saw him with the camera and when he got in my face with it. I kinda thought it was a joke and he was just doing something, either for internet clout, or just to be some weird social experiment”.

Young then posted two videos on his social media on April. In one such video, he approached a woman who was in tears in a parking garage. The woman then told Young that her car has been stolen. He then replied with,“Can I hook up with you ?” When the woman rejected, he started to verbally harass her.

On April 17, 2022, in an another video, he described his penis to three women. When the woman started kicking him, he pepper sprayed her and then ran away.

Deven also allegedly attacked a man who tried to stop him. He then appeared in court on Monday after being arrested in San Mateo County. Right now he is being held on a $500,000 bond until October indictment.

Todd Spitzer’s Statement

Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer said in a statement on Tuesday, “No one should have to live in fear that they could be indiscriminately attacked and then publicly humiliated on the Internet because of their gender”. He further added, “This behavior is disgusting and the celebration of this behavior by like-minded individuals is completely unacceptable. These charges send a very strong message to that entire community that we will not tolerate violence against women in any form.”
