Lynette Romero Finally Bids Good Bye To KTLA After 24 Years

Lynette Romero is leaving KTLA after working for 24 years. Romero decided to finally bid goodbye to KTLA which is an emotional departure for her as well.

After Sam Rubin announced her departure on air this Wednesday, September 14, Romero also took to Instagram to confirm the same news as fans wanted to hear this from her. 

For Lynette, this is the time to move on from this everlasting journey with KTLA and look for some other opportunities. The weekend news anchor confirmed that she is leaving the show by her choice.

Lynette Romero Leaves the KTLA After 24 years

Romero has devoted 24 years of her life to KTLA as an anchor. The anchor left her fans with an emotional departure note on Instagram. This news was the first to announce the sad departure of Lynette on September 14.

Sam Rubin announced on air on Wednesday that Lynette has decided to move on some anchoring their weekend morning news. 

“KTLA management hoped she would stay here her entire career in KTLA; they worked hard to make that happen but Lynette has decided to move on to another opportunity elsewhere.”

Though KTLA made this announcement on air and on Twitter, the weekend news anchor posted her own statement on Instagram on September 14, 2022. 

Romero says hello to everyone in the clip posted on Instagram. She told them that she needed them to hear this from her because fans were constantly asking the reason for her departure from KTLA after 24 years.

“I guess it wasn’t my announcement to make and that’s okay. Everything happens for a reason. So I just wanted to tell you that yes, it is true and I am leaving. Yes, it was my choice. I will explain all of it to you. – I have shared my whole life with you and I will share this with you when I can.” Said the Anchor.

Lynette wants to pursue other opportunities

Expressing her grief over leaving the KTLA marked the end of a beautiful part of her life. The weekend News anchor had sustained the most significant events of her life when she was at KTLA.

In her Instagram post, though the anchor did not confirm where she is going next, she described the departure from KTLA as her career’s next move.

Romero stated in her Instagram story that it has been a beautiful ride for her and she thanked everyone. “But there is more to do and I am taking all those experiences with a full heart of gratitude. So come with me and we will explore what is next.”

As her next career move of Romero is not confirmed yet, all we can do is wait.

Do you know that Lynette is not the only anchor who has left KTLA? It’s been a year full of changes for KTLA. Christina Pascucci announced in July 2022 that she was planning to leave KTLA.

While Dayna Devon bid goodbye to KTLA and confirmed her departure from the weekend show on August 14, 2022.
