By the time Millie got fame with the popular Netflix series stranger things, she had a negative impact of it on her life. The actress conveyed that she moved to therapy for her mental health to confront the constant cyberbullying.

She disclosed that it is tough to be disliked when she didn’t know who she was.

The Stranger Things ivy leaguer further shared she started closing down and doubting who she is. She realized that social media discomfort her as a child actor because of the bullying.

Millie was only 12 years old when she embarked on this industry and started up her acting career in a major role.

She confessed that she does not have social media on her phone anymore.

She deleted all of her accounts at one point as she never manages these accounts but is managed by someone.

However, to negotiate with the bullying she had to continue therapy.

The actress has confronted inappropriate sexualization for years from now. She tries to avoid it but it still impacts her.


The impacts of trolling and harassment have had a very bad influence on her. Millie was receiving threats, abusive comments, and even NSFW (not safe for work) texts from adults person on Twitter and Tiktok.

This was before she deleted them all. She revealed how her cosmetic brand Florence by Mills’ blog articles are the barely way she has any dealings with her fans and lovers. As nobody can point to it.

The actress admired her friends and family for their backing and support during this difficult path. She confessed that being away from social media has comforted her a lot.

Millie also conveyed, “I began growing more, and my family and friends helped me.”

The Stranger Things actress realized she does not need to be anything they meant she should be. She claims she desired to grow on her own and that is what she did and is still working out for her.

Millie characterized it as a toxic circumstance and discussed her choice to be apart from the influencer thing.
