American Actor Roger E Mosley died on August 7, 2022 at the age of 83. He was critically injured in a car accident in Lynwood, California on August 4, 2022 which left him paralysed below the shoulders. The Los Angeles native succumbed to his injuries at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The actor is survived by his wife, Toni Laudermick and daughter, and two children from his ex-wife.

His daughter Ch-a Mosley informed, “Last week my dad Roger E Mosley was involved in a major car accident that left him paralyzed from the shoulders down. He is in a critical condition but fighting hard.”

She announced the death of his news on Facebook on Saturday saying, “We could never mourn such an amazing man. He would hate any crying done in his name. It is time to celebrate the legacy he left for us all. I love you daddy. You loved me too. My heart is heavy but I am strong. I will care for mommy, your love of almost 60 years. You raised me well and she is in good hands. Rest easy.”

Mosley’s Acting Career

Mosley was best known for portraying the iconic role of helicopter pilot Theodore “TC” Calvin in the 1980s hit show “Magnum, P.I.” He appeared in more than 150 episodes of the eight-seasoned crime adventure series alongside Tom Selleck. It ran from 1980 until 1988. Mosley also played the role of Coach Ricketts in the 1990s sitcom “Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper.” Mosley made memorable appearances in the 1973 movie “The Mack” as the militant brother of the main character Goldie, and in 1976 movie “Leadbelly.”

I enjoyed working with Roger so much. He really came through for me when I produced my first play. He was the best. Condolences to the Mosley family.”
