Kawhi Leonard’s Health Update as He Got A Knee Injury

Kawhi Leonard of the LA Clippers has only been in two games this season. He returned on the opening night following an ACL tear sustained during the 2021 playoffs. Leonard returned for just two games in 2021–2022. He has missed the full season and hasn’t played since then.

Kawhi Leonard has been working out on an individual basis, there is now “truly not a time frame” for the LA Clippers player’s comeback. Due to right knee injury management, Leonard missed the Clippers’ game against the Utah Jazz on Sunday night, making it his sixth straight missed the contest.

Organization’s statement on Leonard’s injury

The organization continues to refer to “injury management” as the reason for his absence when asked about the specifics of his condition. According to the information provided so far, Leonard is currently reporting tightness in his surgically repaired knee.

While some of this is to be expected for a player recovering from an ACL tear, Leonard has only participated in two of the team’s first nine games, so the Clippers did not anticipate this.

Buzz on Twitter about Leonard missing too many games

One said –  “ Clippers could be pretty shorthanded against Cavs. Reggie Jackson limped out of the locker room tonight. John Wall will be held out of the second game in back-to-back. Luke Kennard (chest) is uncertain. And Kawhi remains out. Paul George expects to play some point tomorrow.”

Another user said – ” The last time Kawhi Leonard played two consecutive games, Black Widow was still a month away from its theatrical release”

Another said – ” Kawhi Leonard is joining the team for shootaround. Not sure if he’s participating but he’s here and dressed.”

Head coach Ty Lue clarifies Leonard’s health

Ty Lue who is the head coach responded that Leonard is making good progress. He was questioned about the player’s return before Sunday’s night game and he said that there is no estimated time for his return.

As Lue had previously stated, it sounds like the team will continue to take things game by game.

Of course, the Clippers want their star forward back, but they’ll still be careful around him. The team won’t hurry Leonard because they are concerned with protecting his long-term health. The team is unable to commit to any timeline, thus they are left playing a waiting game.

As soon as there is any additional information regarding Kawhi Leonard’s health, we will continue to keep you informed.
