Ons Jebeur’s Achievements
Women’s Tennis Association currently ranks the 27-year-old No.2 tennis player in the world. Making her the No.1 Tunisian player. The 2022 Wimbledon Championship is Ons Jabeur’s third major quarterfinal, the two previous ones being, the 2020 Australia Open and last year’s Wimbledon.
In the first match, she competed against Sweden’s Mirjam Bjorklund, and in the next match, she competed against Poland’s Katarzyna Kawa. She won both rounds.
Jabeur then proceeded to win against Diane Parry and faced Elise Mertens in the Round of 16.
She managed to secure a win in that match in straight sets.

Issam Jellali is a former Tunisian ATP and Davis cup player whose birthplace is Tunisia. For more than 15 years, the 41-year-old was a coach and a player on the ITF and challenger circuit.
He is now the owner of a tennis academy in Dubai. He has also trained a few top-100 ATP players like Malek Jaziri and Damir Dzumhur.
Ons won her first Wimbledon Tour title at the 2021 Birmingham Classic and WTA 1000 title at the 2022 Madrid Open. These particular achievements marked the first time an African and Arab female player won these titles.
These achievements were all attained under the mentorship of her current coach, Issam Jellali.
Previously she was under the mentorship of coach Bertrand Perret. He trained her all the way from 2018 to 2020.

About Ons’s Husband: Karim Kamoun
Ons Jabeur’s husband Karim Kamoun, is a Russian-Tunisian former fencer who played for Tunisia at the African Fencing Championships and the Pan Arab games. He worked as a fitness instructor up until 2017.
Karim Kamoun now works as a professional fitness coach with his Master’s Degree in Sports Science.
