Who was Adele Milloz?

Adèle Milloz was a Ski Mountaineer based in France. She competed in ski mountaineering, sprinting, and individual at the 2017 World Military Winter Games, winning two gold medals. At the 2018 European Championships in Nicolosi, she won gold in the sprint.

In 2019, she retired from the competition to continue her training as a mountain guide.

She died at the age of 26 in an accident with another climber on Mont Blanc, along the usual route on the Aiguille-du-Peygne side. Others have already died on the same slope, including Steven Gubser in August 2019.

She was born in the mountains near Tignes in Savoy. Growing up in a small village, she had to ski to catch the school bus. Other than that, she was forced to walk in leather shoes and snowshoes in the evenings.

Adele Miloz dreamed of becoming a mountain guide, following in his father’s footsteps.

Adèle Miloz attended the National School of Skiing and Mountaineering in Chamonix. She was due to enter the final stage of high school on August 15th. The dream got shattered because of an accident in the middle of the alpine, the dynamics of which are yet to be elucidated.
